Products for Animal Protection NGOs

My graduation thesis aimed to help the NGOs that are dedicated to protect and shelter stray animals. A thorough research with more than 80 entities and independent protectors ascertained that the major challenge faced is financial. Most of the entities already invested in custom products to raise money. However, due to the use of unpleasant visuals and sorrowful messages, the sales income was insignificant.

Based on Donald Norman's theory, my ambition was to improve this scenario by satisfying the three levels of user experience. The 'Visceral' with an visually appealing hand-drawn design. The 'Behavioural' by selecting only products that had clear functional aspects. And finally, the 'Reflective' by selecting positive and cheerful quotes that would engage intellectually with animal supporters. After a cost analysis with all the local suppliers, I narrowed down which products had the best cost–benefit and biggest potential for added value. The result were Moleskines, T-shirts, Mugs and Ecobags.
